Position Summary

Cold Iron is seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Specialist to join us in creating our next game for consoles and PC! As a Social Media Specialist, you will be a key part of our marketing team, helping to monitor and connect with our audience, increase brand perception, and improve brand awareness about our company and games through social media. This position is fully remote and open to applicants across the country.

Your Day to Day

You can expect to be responsible and accountable for the following:

  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Write long- and short-form social media messages that are informative and appealing
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Use data to analyze what’s working, what’s not, and reinforce or refocus key messages accordingly
  • Create high level reports outlining strategic development, success and failures, and suggestions for improvement
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Collaborate across numerous departments to produce the best content that is the most consistent with our brand
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and other social media best practices
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills

Would Love to See

  • Prior experience in the gaming industry

Education

  • BA degree in Marketing or relevant field preferred
